Dharma Day Festival 2024
Tales of Freedom
Sun 21st July | 10am–9.30pm | In person and on YouTube
Led by Jyotismati & Sanghadharin
The Buddha taught that just as the taste of the ocean has one taste, the taste of salt, his teaching also has one taste, the taste of freedom. It is through practicing the path the Buddha laid out for us that we too can experience this freedom. On Dharma Day we will come together to celebrate the anniversary of the Buddha first communicating the Dharma to others.
Festival days are an opportunity to practice together and the events will allow our mind to move towards a greater sense of freedom. The morning will focus on meditation and reflection; cultivating wholeness, emotional strength and turning the mind towards wisdom. In the afternoon we will explore stories from the Buddhist tradition to hear what this freedom looks like in peoples' lives.
Festival days are open to all so do come along! We'll be meditating together, reflecting together and eating together. All in person, with some parts of the day streamed live on YouTube.
