PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY

Sangha Day celebrates the vibrant, joyful community of those practicing the Buddha's teachings. We invite you to join us in honoring our shared commitment to the ideal of human enlightenment.

Events will include personal talks, a Dharma talk by Jnanavaca, music, meditation, reflection, shared meals and a special handover ritual with the Mitra Convenors.

The day will culminate with Mitra ceremonies where we witness people join the Sangha and declare their confidence in Buddhist practice.

All welcome.

Ritual for Mitra Convenors Handover

As part of Sangha Day Festival

This special ceremony led by LBC President Subhuti and Chair Suryagupta marks the handover of the role of Mitra Convenor. Amalayodhin will be stepping down as Men’s Mitra Convenor and Adityabandhu will be stepping up. We will be welcoming Abhayanandi as the new Women’s mitra convenor alongside Kusalasara. Come to witness and take part in the ceremony as we give thanks to Amalayodhin and Suvarnojyoti for their work and welcome the new Mitra Convenors. Bring cards and gifts if you wish!
