What is Vajrasana doing to minimise the risk of Covid-19?
We are following the Government’s Covid-19 Secure Guidelines. Here are the changes we’re asking you to bear in mind if you come:
Illness before you come Please do not come on retreat if you have been advised by the NHS to take a Covid-19 test, are awaiting test results or are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms (a high temperature, a new continuous cough, a change or loss of taste or smell). If you have booked and are subsequently unable to attend for any of these reasons, please email email@example.com for a refund.
Illness on retreat If you develop Covid-19 symptoms on retreat, you need to tell the team immediately, self-isolate in your room, and return home as soon as possible, minimising contact on the way. It is essential that there is someone who is willing to collect you if you do develop coronavirus symptoms on retreat and . You will need to take a Covid-19 test as soon as possible and let us know the result so we can follow Test and Trace procedures as necessary.
Limited numbers and single rooms To ensure that everyone can keep 2 metres apart and that people from separate households are in separate bedrooms, our retreats are now limited in number. So do book early!
Physical distancing Retreats are very much about living communally. However, to keep everyone safe, it’s important that we continue to maintain physical distancing. Whilst at Vajrasana you’ll have to keep physically distanced from everyone, generally at least 1m outside and 2m inside.
Personal hygiene Some of our rooms are en-suite. Others will require you to share showers and toilets. If your room is en-suite, please only use that shower and toilet. Only one shared shower and one shared toilet in each pod dormitory will be available. Shared showers can only be used by following a simple reservation system.
Face coverings We ask all retreatants to bring their own face coverings. You’ll need to wear these in the shrine complex, in the dining area and whilst doing some jobs.
Hand washing and hand sanitiser We ask all participants to wash their hands upon arriving at Vajrasana and frequently throughout the retreat. There are also hand sanitiser stations around the buildings. You will need to sanitise your hands upon entering any of the communal areas.
Snacks Fruit and individually portioned oatcakes will be available on the retreat, but no shared biscuit tin! You will not be able to help yourselves from the kitchen, so do bring along any snacks you think you may need.
Cleaning Vajrasana is kept clean and tidy by the team there so it’ll be safe and ready to use when you arrive. During the retreat there will be an increased number of jobs for retreatants to help out with in order to facilitate frequent cleaning of all high-touch areas. We do appreciate your help in this.
