The goal of Buddhist practice is the total transformation of our whole being, unleashing a powerful force for the good into the world.
However inspired we may be by that ideal, in order to follow through on it our practice needs to be built on strong foundations. That doesn't mean years of study or long and painful sessions of meditation, just a clear understanding of a few essential principles and the confidence to start putting them into practice.
Over this four-week course, two experienced practitioners, Prajnadevi and Sanghasiha, will be there to help you establish these foundations.
Find out who the Buddha was, what he taught, and how we can put it into practice today
Get your questions answered and explore the implications of the Buddha's teachings in your life
Learn two life-long meditation practices, the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana, and begin to clarify and strengthen your mind
Test out the teachings with home practice exercises and report on your progress in a small group
Receive a weekly email with extra resources to help you practice in between sessions
